What is it?
We at First Baptist Church of Weirsdale have seen a need in our community. God has called us to open our Clothing Closet & Essentials program for many that may be less fortunate or suffering. We have the love and desire to provide for these families not only for their spiritual needs, but their physical as well. This ministry started with one small food outreach that provided a Thanksgiving dinner to about 40 families. First Baptist Church of Weirsdale didn’t stop there. We continued to serve our community with several different outreaches that have now led us to clothing over 300 children to start their new school year including back-packs and school supplies. God has done BIG things at FBW and He is preparing us for more. Our Clothing Closet & Essentials collects and distributes gently, used clothing for all ages including shoes and main living essentials like toothpaste, laundry soap and shampoo. We are working closely with our community members, local churches, and other partnerships throughout the year to continue providing and growing our outreach. This is a completely free program where Marion county residents are able to shop our brand new clothing rooms and receive the items they need such as shirts, jackets, shoes and much more.

We are currently offering appointments 1-2x a month to assist families in need. Visit us every 2nd and 4th Tuesday and Friday of the month from 9am- 11am. Residents MUST have an appointment! Homeless individuals are not required to have an appointment. Just visit us during operating hours

Donations :
We are gladly accepting all donations of clean and gently used clothing, shoes of any size, and NEW undergarments. Main Essentials we are in need of consist of: Dish soap, Toilet Paper, Fabric Softener, Trash Bags, Anti-Bac Spray, Laundry Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Sanitary Pads, Deodorant, Body Wash, Bar Soap, Toothpaste, and Toothbrushes. Items can be dropped off at First Baptist Church of Weirsdale on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-7 pm or Sunday Mornings at 10:30am. You may contact a team member to arrange a drop off time that works for you.
