Our Team

Vanessa Butts—Our Outreach Committee Chair of First Baptist Church of Weirsdale. 

Vanessa has the love for serving others in ministry. When joining the church, she had a desire for outreaches and was hungry to serve. She started the first Thanksgiving Dinner Outreach with the help of her husband, Joey and a few others. For her, seeing the smiles and hearing the heartfelt messages from the people in our community that were in need is all the reason she needs to continue. She says “God placed me right where I needed to be. Every outreach we do just continues to grow and reach more into our community. Spreading God’s Word and love to others is so important to me. I pray that every outreach touches someone’s heart and brings them to Christ.”  

Virginia Gibbons—                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Virginia is a devoted wife of 46 years, mother of 4, and grandmother of 12. Her unshakable faith in God ignited her passion to spread kindness, joy and compassion through life changing community outreach. Her passion has only grown in the clothes closet, where she is able to serve others and bring joy to the children and family’s she sees. It has served as a powerful reminder of Gods unconditional love for her.

Dorothy “Dot” Brumfield— 
Dot loves to serve the lord in whatever aspect of the outreach program that’s available. She’s so excited about the Backpack Program coming up. She can’t wait to see the children of our community receiving backpacks, school supplies, clothes and haircuts! Love each other, serve God and be a blessing is her motto
